Often people ask me about my tag line “Today we create our tomorrow”. They ask me what I mean by that. I tell them that each and every day we are planting seeds that will grow into fruition at some later date. Some times the date is sooner rather than later, and the bounty that we can reap is dependent on what seeds we sow.

In other words, if we are filled with negative images, negative thoughts, and negative beliefs, the seeds we are planting are going to reap us more negative; and the same if we are filled with positive.

For example, I knew a woman who was constantly filled with negativity. Her whole life was surrounded by negatives. Things seemed to always happen to this woman. The more she complained the more things she received to complain about.

This woman complained about everything; her ex-husband, her children, her job, her bills, her friends, her minister, etc… etc… etc…

This woman’s negativity became a wonderful example to one of her children. After years of watching his mother sowing more and more seeds of negativity, many of which affected him and his siblings directly, this courageous young man reached outside of the environment that he grew up in. He began to attend seminars on positivity, he began coaching sessions with me and he began to sow seeds of positivity.

Soon, this young man began to see the fruits of his labour and he began to see the positive growth that surrounded him.

He moved away from his family, which continued to sow the seeds of negativity; got married to a wonderful woman who helped him sow more seeds of positivity. He finished College; the first person in his family to do so, and started his own company; which is highly successful today.

This woman is still living in a sea of misery and negativity. The seeds of her negativity have now grown into a dangerous crop and she has created a situation in which she is in trouble with the law. On the flip side of the coin, her son is thriving; his business and his life is an incredible success, and he continues to sow the seeds of positivity.

Some seeds grow faster than others. But like seeds, once they are in the ground it is important to leave them be. Feed them water and then let them receive the nourishment from the earth around them.

The Universe listens to all that we put out there. Thoughts hold a lot of merit, but when we take those thoughts and allow them to exit from our mouth in words, they gain even more strength.

Not only do we have to be aware (and careful) of what we think, we have to be even more aware and careful of what we say.

When we plant seeds, especially seeds of things we want to manifest, we have to plant them and then let the Universe do its wonderful job of growing the seeds to fruition and bounty.

Too often we plant the seeds of things we want to manifest, but instead of letting the thought, the idea, the dream grow and be nourished by the Universe, we keep digging the seed up, keep revisiting the idea, and we look to see how much it has grown.

What happens when we do that to a flower seed? Eventually, it dies.

How often have we planted the seeds of our desires, only to not let it alone, to keep digging it up to see how much it has grown, or what development it has made? What has happened with that thought or idea that you had planted? Did it die? Did you simply give up after giving it too much attention and now the “drive” has been lost?

So, the point I am trying to make is this; plant the seeds of your desire. Don’t simply “believe” that they will take hold, KNOW that they will. A lawn does not ponder how they are going to grow and at what speed, continually. It simply knows that it is constantly growing, and that it is constantly getting taller and taller. Even when a lawn mower comes along and cuts it down a little, it does not freak out and immediately give up and die, it knows that when they receive a “hair cut”, that they will grow thicker and more lush.

When you plant your seeds of desire, KNOW that the Universe has heard your desires; They have seen the ACTION you have taken, and is delivering to you the bounty of exactly what you have planted.

You would not expect to grow a sunflower when you planted a rose; the same as with your desires; you reap what you sow.

Remember, be aware of your thoughts and then your words; when you plant a seed give it room to grow. Let the nutrients of your actions continue to feed the seed, and KNOW you will receive a bountiful harvest.

Until next time, continue to magnify your magnificence.
